Beautiful Beginnings, A Lost Souls Novel by Michelle Matkins

Beautiful Beginnings, A Lost Souls Novel by Michelle Matkins is a novel about a psychic young woman. The print is tiny, so you may want to increase the size of the font. Vienna Rossi is an artist who can see spirits, and like many artists, holds a regular job as well as teaching art classes to students with her friend and roommate Kim. Vienna has a rather difficult time coming to terms with her psychic abilities and her spirit guide Jack, though Kim was very much into what Vienna was experiencing.

Beautiful Beginnings is the second book in the Lost Souls series, though it was easily read as a stand-alone. There is enough back story to convey what happened before, without throwing you out of the story itself. It’s the sequel to Awakened Within , if you want to really get into the story line. This time Vienna has to help Edward, who died on the Titanic. His wife safely got onto a lifeboat, but he keeps reliving his death. Beautiful Beginnings was an amazing read that really grips you and doesn’t want to let go until you reach the end. Definitely a must read if you are into ghost stories, paranormal activity or the like.

I give Beautiful Beginnings, A Lost Souls Novel four and a half stars out of five.

Affirmations and Treatments (Law of Attraction Series) by Scott Soloff

Affirmations and Treatments (Law Of Attraction Series) by Scott Soloff is another Law of Attraction ebook. This book in particular focuses on affirmations as you might have guessed. Affirmations and Treatments (Law Of Attraction Series) explains the difference between the two right from the very beginning. There are many quotes and snippets from Emmet Fox in the beginning as well.

Each section of affirmations ends with self-reflection questions. The affirmations are less like you see in other books and more like articles on each topic. The self-reflection questions are worthwhile, and I personally wrote them all down to use as needed. Many of the topics blend together as well. You may want to write them down, but I will warn you that there are many questions!

I give Affirmations and Treatments (Law Of Attraction Series) three and a half out of five stars. The self-reflection questions alone are worth the time.

Most of the ideas in this book require some basic equipment, and chances are they can be found in the home or garage. Some allow you to use various talents you may already have or could learn. Some of these ideas can be used for longer term money making as well. Lisa also allows you to sell the book, provided you leave everything as is.

I give 20 Ways To Make $100 Today four out of five stars. It goes really in depth on each idea, plus she gives you resources as well.

Easy Kindle Formatting by Dick Blankenship

Easy Kindle Formatting by Dick Blankenship is one of many ebooks on how to format your story for Kindle. This one walks you through using HTML and MobiPocket Creator. Dick is also using Microsoft Works as his word processor.

Converting the manuscript to HTML is the first step, and he mentions that special formatting (such as bold, italics, underline) may not be preserved in the conversion. Then he walks you through editing the HTML file that you just created, and cover art. Then he walks you through MobiPocket Creator.

Honestly I think Easy Kindle Formatting may have added steps that aren’t necessary. It is another way of uploading your book to Amazon, and may work to create files for other sites that accept .prc files. I give Easy Kindle Formatting three out of five stars, as it is a good resource that may be useful.

10 Cheap Things You Must Have In Your Wardrobe by Meg Anderson

10 Cheap Things You Must Have In Your Wardrobe (And 10 Things You MUST Splurge On) by Meg Anderson starts off with the items you really should splurge on, such as a designer bag. This is a book for women rather than men, the tips are great. Meg explains why she put each of the 20 items into the splurge/cheap category. I don’t necessarily agree with her 20 choices, but it’s a great starting point for any wardrobe.

I give 10 Cheap Things You Must Have In Your Wardrobe (And 10 Things You MUST Splurge On) 3 and a half stars out of five. I think the book could have gone further in depth than it did, but it was great as a quick read.

The 42 Energy Emotion by JJ Sobrinho

The 42 Energy Emotion by JJ Sobrinho talks about crop circles and how each specific pattern affects our subconscious without us being aware of it. He also talks about the vast amount of stress we are under every day of our lives. While the grammar isn’t great, and can cause confusion in particularly awkward phrasing, he still manages to get a point across.

The 42 Energy Emotion definitely could have used an editor or at the very least a proofreader. It also could have used more detailed explanations, though the pictures were a nice touch. I think each picture involves various crop circle patterns, but I’m not 100% sure. Though each one has a brief explanation, and could be useful for meditation or the like.

I give The 42 Energy Emotion two out of five stars. While there was a good idea behind it, the grammar and lack of explanation really made it a difficult read.
